Polymer cost sensitivity
Daily Brent movements are applied to an approved recipe’s cost share and pass-through factor. Each row covers only its stated scope.
Define the cost scope first
The current Brent indicator works above. Polymer cost impact requires an approved recipe share and pass-through assumption. Explore an example or discuss your own scope.

Method and scope
Effect (%) = (latest Brent / base Brent − 1) × cost share (%) × pass-through (%) / 100.
This models the contribution of the Brent-linked component. It is not a polymer market price, total cost forecast or FX effect.
Base: nearest observation on or before the cost date, within 7 days. Profiles last at most 90 days. Calculation stops if Brent is over 7 days old.

Petrochemical connections
This map shows principal input pathways. The daily proxy above only rebases Brent to 100; it is not a naphtha, monomer or polymer market price.
Propylene → PP
Ethylene → PE
Styrene + acrylonitrile + butadiene → ABS
PTA + MEG → PET
Caprolactam (PA6) / adipic acid + HMDA (PA66)
Feedstock origin, energy, region, process and supply/demand require separate assessment.
